Big Anniversary Sale in Crewe, VA

I received notice today from a store in Virginia who is very supportive of the efforts of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. If you live in or near Crewe Virginia, this sounds like a sale you don't want to miss. Even if you don't live in Crewe, but are close enough and up for a drive, I think this would be a very worthwhile day trip. Bring a couple of your quilting friends along and make a day out of it! They have a cute little gift shop in the store so maybe you could even do a little early Christmas shopping? I wish I lived close enough to go, but I don't think my toddlers would be very understanding about a four hour long trip to a quilt store. :(

I'm sure if you go to the sale you could find some great fabric that could be used for a Quilt of Valor at a very reasonable price! If you go, please tell the ladies that I sent you!

Here's a link to their website if you would like to know more about the shop:

Quilt Inspiration from Buffy Harris

Today I have some absolutely beautiful quilts to share with you! Nothing motivates me to get to work like seeing Quilts of Valor other talented quilters have made. I know these photos are going to inspire you to get busy quilting!

The very talented Buffy Harris who lives in Bealeton, Virginia (Fauquier County) made these and has very kindly offered to share them with us. Aren't they gorgeous?!? Buffy is still looking for people to sew with close to home so if you live in or near Fauquier County please contact her at buffyharris73@yahoo.com.

Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us Buffy! I know the lucky recipients of these quilts were so appreciative! What treasures!
